Your Questions About Pressure Points For Headaches Tension

tension headache or migraine?

hi, a couple of weeks ago I had a really bad headache, opening my eyes hurt, even in the dark and having a light on even with my eyes closed also caused pain.
This lasted for 36 hours, then I could open my eyes in the dark but that was it for another 12 hours. Then after a good nights sleep the pain seemed to have moved to the back of the head and down my neck. This lasted for another day.
In total this headache lasted for three days!
When the pain moved to the back of the head I saw a doctor who put pressure on certain parts of my head and face and because that hurt he said I had ‘tension points‘ and that I had a tension headache.
It took a while for me to be able to do certain things again without my eyes watering.
Since then for the past two weeks every time I get tense I have a headache.
These can be different in serverity and in how long they last, the shortest has been about a day, longest four days.

Was this a migraine?
Or a tension headache?
Or both?
The doctor gave me co – codamol 80mg + 500mg.
This hasn’t helped me unfortuantly. I’ve never been able to take anything that works for headaches though.

Does this list of symptoms point to anything specific?

My Dr has basically said there’s nothing it can be because my ECG and bloods came back normal (Except fr borderline underactive thyroid..treated by 75mg thyroxine, have been treated with antibiotics for possible infection too. The symptms have been happenig for various time spans.

Muffled hearing/missing conversations. Have had ths since i can remember but my boss has mentioned it to me.. he has to repeat everything :S
Slow to catch on to things.. saying a lot of stupid things/foggy brain
Dizziness/feeling faint somtimes
Feeling unreal/spaced out/like im on drugs
A pressure pain in roof of my mouth and nose but no catarrh.
Pressure/tension headaches over eyes
Sensitvity to light
Heart palpitations/flutters/pains.

Does any of this sound like there could be a reason? It’s driving me mad.

Need Help With Finding a Proper Birth Control?

I’m having a HELL of a time with Planned Parenthood.

I was on Ortho Cyclo, and then it went really bad for me. SO I switched over to the patch. THEN because I was OVERWEIGHT for the patch and they prescribed it to me, I got pregnant. I aborted, and tried and IUD. I bleed everyday heavily for three months until I became anemic. I had it removed.

Then I went to depo shot, but I can’t keep up with the calcium. It’s become such a problem that my ankles and bones crack even when I take the calcium!! So I went to planned parenthood and got in a twisted argument where I lost my train of thought, and switched over to another kind of ortha. I said listen, I need something that won’t raise my blood pressure, which is pretty damn bad right now.

THEY GAVE ME SOMETHING THAT SPECIFICALLY DOES THAT, like MOST pills, and now I’m having tightness in the chest.

WTF.

Someone please tell me what my options are!!!!! Planned parenthood isn’t fucking treating me like a person anymore because every 2-3 months I have to come back and say ‘you got this WRONG.’

I need something that:
Doesn’t raise my blood pressure
Doesn’t restrict my sexual desire

Things I have tried:
Nuva Ring (Caused massive cervix swelling) IUD, condoms (No latex allergy, it’s just not always favored), Ortho Cyclo (higher blood pressure, headaches, high tension, moodiness), Patch (200 lbs, making me overweight)

It seems like the only thing I’m going to be able to do is jog this fat off and jump back on the patch which was WONDERFUL for me.

I just can’t stand planned parenthood not paying me any heed or leaving out details. Even when I ask them to clarify they say yeah, it’s all good. Then turn around and it’s not. Please, does anyone got a clue or an idea for me?

I’d appreciate it at this point. I’m discontinuing this Ortho Novum due to tightness and short of breath in the chest.
