History- Being genetically predisposed to migraine is one of the non-modifiable risk factors. You don’t have any means of changing the characteristics you inherited. If one of your parents had suffered migraine before, this can be a strong evidence you can have it also.
Disease – Brain tumor as well as aneurysm include headache as one of its symptoms. The longer you suffer from these conditions the longer you have to deal with headaches. The headaches are only secondary result of your primary medical problem.
Physiologic changes- Normal physiologic changes like puberty, menopause and aging are also contributory factors in developing migraine. Headache causes are brought about by the response of the body to these changes. Migraines are usually heightened as you reach the age 40 to 45. As you grow older, you are susceptible to almost all kinds of sickness.
Looking on the bright side, as you get older, frequency of migraines is also decreased. This can be considered as a gain for migraineurs. Incidence of migraine above the age 65 is decreased to 2-10%. As well as the intensity and severity is also lessened.
